Lady Gaga – Born This Way lyrics
Intro:
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'Cause you were born this way, baby

Verse:
My mama told me when I was young,
We are all born superstars.
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir.
"There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are"
She said, "'cause He made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"

Chorus:
I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way

Post-chorus:
Ooo there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
(Born this way)
Ooo there ain't no other way
Baby, I was born this way
Right track baby
I was born this way

Don't be a drag - just be a queen
Don't be a drag - just be a queen
Don't be a drag - just be a queen
Don't be!

Verse:
Give yourself prudence
And love your friends
Subway kid, rejoice your truth
In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth
A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (hey hey hey)
I love my life I love this record and
L'amour a besoin la foi

Repeat chorus + post-chorus

Bridge:
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen
You're black, white, beige, chola descent
You're lebanese, you're orient
Whether life's disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
'Cause baby you were born this way
No matter gay, straight, or bi,
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

Repeat chorus + post-chorus

Outro/refrain:
I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

Two of my best friends on the entire world are g** and I couldn't love them anymore than I do now. One of my friends however (let's call him tom) is in a family that is against gays. He can't tell his family because he will have no place to go if they kick him out. His parents don't understand that he was born this way! People don't get to choose who they are. People who act different than who they truely are makes me sad because you shouldn't have to hide the truth. Just be you and people will love you for it.

Honestly, Jesusfreak122 and other like-minded Christian writers out there, as a fellow Christian, I am appalled by how you preach the love of Jesus to other commenters here in the same breath that you stick your finger out to condemn Lady Gaga and other people's choice in living their lives. You say that God loves everybody (and remember that while we were still in sin, God loved us anyway) and loves you and oh how your life has changed, but yet why do you not show the same kind of love to other people that do not share your values?
It's really no wonder so many people begin to think that Christians are bigoted idiots with holier than thou attitudes. Can we really fault them for thinking like that, when this is how we always react, always judging others for their "sinful" ways and condemning, criticizing them. How can one even begin to convince people to accept one's loving God when it's going to be so hard for people to accept the follower of God as a loving person in general?
Love also means understanding, caring, and accepting people for the choices that they make whether we agree with it or not. Tolerance is significantly different from acceptance, and honestly, we need a whole lot more of acceptance in this world. Such a shame that it's never coming from the Christian community. Just accept people for who they are - God's children. People. Fellow human beings. Neighbors. Friends. Lovers. Pride and Joy of parents. You don't have to condone the choices they make in the lives. But we love anyway. So lets start with a clean slate okay? :)

"Jesus never existed, google it" has got to be the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Anyway.
I am a Christian and I don't have all the answers, but I do know that Jesus would not approve for one second of anyone treating anyone with disrespect or hate. Whether or not homosexuality is a sin according to God, a worse sin is not showing love to everyone. Matt 22: 38-39
So basically, if you're a Christian, you don't have to agree with homosexuals, but you have to love them. Sorry, Jesus' rule, not mine :)

I don't care if your ultra-religious, satanic, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or other. This song is all about the acceptance of people whether it's considered 'right' or not. These arguments people read on here are heavily biased and hateful. While all of you hide behind your computer screens, going around spitting on music you don't like, other people are fighting for the right to be themselves. Plus, the song isn't only about lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders! It's about everyone. We all have faults and Lady Gaga is just telling it how she sees it.
For the people on here to bash the song: Why the jank are you reading these lyrics if you don't like the author, or the lyrics themselves?
For the people who are on here to yell at the former: Get a new hobby.
For the people looking for good music: I feel your pain.

It's about time someone wrote a song like this. Too many people live in a box. Everyone person is different, unique in their own way. People need to mind their own business & worry about their own lives instead of judging others because they are not the way they think is "right/normal". I have family members that are g**, ex fiancée is bisexual, so am I. Doesn't mean we aren't "normal". I accept people for who they are irregardless of race, religion, sexual preference. It makes no difference whatsoever. As long as people are happy with their life who cares what they do with it. As a mother of 2 I encourage my kids to do what makes them happy. If they are g**, lesbian, bi, choose a religion, decide to have a s** change later in life, become a nun etc. I will support them in wherever their life leads them. To disown your child or family for doing what makes them happy is absolutely disgusting. Those people should be ashamed of themselves.

To me, it means that. You are who you are. No matter what anyone says, there's no way to change your ways. People will hate, but you can't let them make you feel like you're not worth anything. You're a beautiful person, who deserves the best in the world. Who care's if you're g**. Who cares if you're white, black, purple, red, yellow. Who cares? You are you, and there's not way of changing that, because god made you the way you were for a reason. You're born with a purpose in life, and who you are, and they way you look, helps you fulfill that purpose. You were born unique, don't give in to society's twisted views, and die a copy.

@Jesusisamyth let me tell you someting kid, you shouldn't be talking about Jesus like that, you have to respect other peoples believe, I understand youre an ignorant, but really, not every thinks the same you think. (which is really stupid) I don't have anything against g** people, they are just like everybody else, they can do whatever they want, its their life, but honestly, you shouldnt talk like that, respect other people!

As a christian I would like to say first of all we all are born with weaknesses. Some people steal, commit adultery, lie or are homosexuals and many other things. God allows us to decide ourselves whether we want to overcome these weaknesses or not. We do this through prayer and repentance. I agree with the song as far as we should love ourselves but that doesn't mean to quit trying to perfect ourselves for our Lord and Savior. We all s***w up! God is about love and forgiveness and not judging others. He is love! But bottom line is there is only one way out and that is through death. Lets try to make sure when that day comes, Jesus will look at us and say well done my child. Welldone.

Why does everything have to be religious with you guys? Why does it have to be about good or evil, g** or straight, black or white? Why can't we just love the song and dance to it? The most sensible thing I have heard since I came here was from pretty emi. So yes, pretty, thes song is awesome, and I can dance like A. Somthing that dances good to this song!

@Jesusfreak122, you have no right to say anything that you've said. You're not God. You do not have the right to condemn someone to hell. That is God's decision and His decision alone. You should think before you say what you want to say. You are very wrong and you should take a look at yourself before you point fingers at anyone else. The only thing you were right about was Lady Gaga could be so much more if she did follow God, but God blessed her. She wouldn't be where she is today without Him. He gave her the voice she has and that is non-negotiable. This song and the song Judas are not bad. They are controversial and a ton of people are taking them the wrong way, but if you have a problem with them, then don't listen to them. Problem solved. Don't be so closed-minded. You look like a jackass.

With respect, regardless of whether homosexuality is normal or moral or not, I'm not sure it makes sense to say that "it's okay for a person not to believe in something" just because he or she doesn't like it, or to believe in something just because he or she does like it. Whether something is pleasant and whether it is true or factual are two completely different things.
    -> sprinkles2011:.
Indeed, I think a lot of people have forgotten that in order to be forgiven of sin (any sin, regardless of its nature), one has to repent, or choose to turn away from that sin first. It would be kind of pointless to say that someone was cleansed from a wrong behavior that they weren't ready to give up. {Exodus 9: 27-34, 2 Kings 22: 19-20, Luke 3: 8}.

I just read a few of the comments and thought that a Christian should speak up here who doesn't hate people if they are g** or not. In my honest opinion, people get so caught up in what someone teaches them is "right" and "wrong" that they miss the bigger picture of Jesus' message in the first place. God called us to love one another, period. He never said only love the people who believe the same things you do, only love people who do what you think is right, etc. He said very plainly to love one another. That means we are free to love people despite whatever we consider is a sin. I mean we all have sin, some just might not be as "big" as homosexuality or they may be more socially acceptable. Joe may be addicted to p***, Sally smokes 3 packs a day (still considered an addiction and God expressly speaks out abou addiction in any form but it more socially acceptable.) So I think we should love any and everyone no matter if we agree with their lifestyle or not. ;)

I think non- Christians and Christians both alike love this song and couldn't give a f* about the lyrics- except that its says that everyone is perfect, and it shouldn't matter who they love, because love is not something you can control. I am christian, and Lady Gaga actually explains that it doesn't matter who you are, because you are perfect and should be proud of who you are. And even if you don't believe in God, he still loves you. I love a guy who I never would have thought I could ever love, and it would have grossed me out awhile ago- but love is not chosen, or forced. Leave g** people alone- she doesn't just mention them, so why just bash on them? I mean I'm sure there are people who choose to be g** (teens) just to seem "cool" but really, they know they aren't- that's fake, but there are people who know their kid will be g** later on, and eventually are. >>>btw---Worldofamazing.

I agree with the people who say that the bible was written by man and Catholics interpreted meanings in their own way to bash anyone who is different. If listening to Lady Gaga and being happy that she encourages everyone to be himself/herself will bring me to hell (a ridiculous idea), then I'll ride that train! I respect everyone for who he/she is and there is no such thing as hell. I think we are living it on Earth with all this controversy about how others live their lives.

I'm so glad that finally we are seeing a change for the better in equality for all. Not too long ago this would not have been distributed because of it's message. We are making great strides in positive change and Lady Gaga is using her voice and fame to perpetuate it.
To all the bible thumpers everywhere who hold themself to such high esteem and quote the bible as their reason for discrimination and hate I ask you; please show me a bible written by God, not by man. It is a man made book. Sure they say that it is the word of God, that God spoke to them. Ok, well go out and do those things today and see where you end up.
And alas: James 2: 10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.

One of my g** friends told me about this song and I just had to check it out, when I was listening to it, I checked up on these lyrics and as I listened and read along, I just got that tingly, good feeling that I get when something really speaks to me.
I'm a lesbian and I do believe that I was Born this way. Not just because I feel more attracted to the woman than I do the man, but because every time I tried to change myself and date a guy, they'd either A. Cheat on me, or B. Use me in some way. And I took that as a sign from whoever that I just wasn't suppose to date guys. Now I've got a loving girlfriend who takes care of me and wants to be with me no matter what. She has made me feel special when no man ever could.
Some things in life you can choose but others, such as sexuality, are just not something you have very much control over.
(To the repinj person I read a post from early on. When you say The Word? I'm assuming you are referring to the bible. You forgot that the bible has been around for years and you also forget that it was write by humans. Don't you think that people would change things through the years to fit their liking? I do. Human nature is too selfish for them to not do that. But that's just what I think. :/)

I'm christian and all and I don't know about lotzakidz and Teencat, but I personally don't think Lady Gaga was trying to offend. I'm with you on a lot of what you said, lotzakidz, but unless you asked Gaga, you don't really know what she meant my him. And to Teencat, God's name is something to be glorified and spoken, not kept in the dark because someone's 'humble'. I know what I said might offend you, but I wasn't trying to!

This is the Manifesto of Mother Monster.
On G. O. A. T., a Government Owned Alien Territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place. But the birth was not finite, it was infinite.
As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life was not temporal, it is eternal. And thus began the beginning of the new race. A race within the race of humanity. A race which bears no prejudice, no judgement, but boundless freedom. But on that same day as the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse another more terrifying birth took place: The birth of evil.
And as she herself split into two, rotating in agony between two ultimate forces, the pendulum of choice began its dance.
It seems easy, you imagine, to gravitate instantly and unwaveringly towards good. But she wondered: "How can I protect something so perfect, without evil?"

Hey just a kid here, big fan of lady gaga. Anyways, I think that the only reason she wrote this song is because little kids all over the world were getting bullied by people. Like they might of had said: you look ugly and it was a mistake thay you were born. So whar I'm saying here is that she felt bad and tried to show bullies that, that person was born that way. So. Nobody I tell you nobody actually is perfect and if everyone was perfect and the same the whole world would be really boring. And the reason why I adore lady gaga is because she is her own person and unique so. You know how she always dresses up in hilarious things(wich look amazing to me)she dresses that way cuz she is not afraid to show the world how she looks even though there acually is rumors, she doesn't care!

I'm 57 married for 36 years have two grown kids and I am strait as. I have been bullied at school and have worked for seriously religious people who have tried to interfere in my live and tell me how to live. And pushed their believes on me.
My memories from the past make me very sad, These lyrics I think are among the best ever written, I wish I had, had that song when I was a lost sad lonely kid, It took me a long time to love my self as I was born, this song would have been my anthem, for me it is for everyone that for what ever reason feel pissed on! As for g** a sin or not, I recon everyone has the right to their own opinion, so that means gay's have that right to People, I get sick and tired of people making this an opportunity to Bash gay's and quote the bible I'm sorry but where did you lot (Christians) get of the bus to give anyone crap it's not like anyone asked for your opinion. You can only demand respect if you are prepared to give it in return Live and let live, Lady Gaga is a genuine person the more I see of her the more I like her as my g** friend say's
    You go girl!

:- I was trying to find the person's comment who said that she felt like she was born a lesbian and was meant to be a lesbian, because every time she dated guys, they would use her or otherwise take advantage of her. But I can't find the comment.
I can say and be thankful that not all of us guys are like that, but I can definitely see how this would be frustrating. I have my own frustrations to deal with right now, and oftentimes I too have trouble "opening up" to my guy friends, for not-too-dissimilar reasons. Whoever you are, if only I could remember, I wish you the very best, because no one deserves to be cheated or hurt in this way. Take care!

Ultimately I think a common false dichotomy (an assumption that there are only two solutions to a dilemma when in reality there are many more) is to assume that you either have to be completely accepting of homosexuality, or you have to be bitter, rude, and hateful. Regardless of what is ultimately "right" about the issue, I have met people (not all of them religious, to boot) who have proven themselves capable of skepticism without resorting to hatred.
And really, I think that is a twofold lesson we can all benefit from learning: 1) ~*Ask questions*~, especially from us Christians about what we and others believe and where the facts really lie, and 2) Our attitudes matter as much as our doctrines do (Colossians 4: 5-6, Ephesians 4: 29), and in the end I've concluded that the two are linked together, that right beliefs and right faith will result in right attitudes and, hence, right living.
I've met plenty of people who haven't proven this for themselves, but this does remind me all too well of people who seem to think that being skeptical of things others say, believe, or do automatically makes one hateful, even if one's attitude hasn't justified such an accusation.

It was also Jesus who said, "Go and ~*sin no more*~." (John 8: 11) If you really loved someone, would you be able to bear seeing them do things that weren't good for them or others (i. E., sinful), such as stealing or holding grudges or what have you? Love doesn't always mean, "I don't agree with what you do, but it's not my place to do anything about it." Sometimes 'love' does take an interventionist approach.
'Love, ' if that term implies that we want the absolute best for others, doesn't mean, for example, accepting others' ideas as inherently valid as our own if such a conclusion cannot be logically defended (and likewise, we can also be wrong in our own ideas; how "loving" would it be for others to not try to help us?).

I just learned how to play this song on the guitar, and I was so happy! I loved the meaning of the song, and it made me happy when I sang it with my guitar. I looked at some the lyrics, then read the comments. Do you know how quickly my happines burnt away? Mostly from sarahjones! Don't hate. God didn't make you to hate. : I Besides this song makes me happy for who I am, no matter how ugly or bullied I am. My best friend almost killed her self from people like you. Shes bi and she was made fun of and bullied for a year. This song makes us find light in darkness. Don't hate on it: '(

Omg sarajones, are you serious? I registered with this site for the sole purpose of commenting on your stupidity. She is not A devil worshipper, and you can't believe everything you see on YouTube. You must be A very young child to speak such rubbish. Smh. Lady gaga is A hermaphrodite, meaning she has both male and female organs. She wrote the song with the simple message that no matter how you were born, that was how you were supposed to be. She accepts herself the way she was born, and that's whats shes saying in this song, also relaying the message to others that they should love themselves no matter what. And the reason why she writes her own lyrics is because that is what individuality and creativity is all about. It would not be 100% her song if someone else wrote it. You need to stop referring to the internet for your sources and finish school before spreading your religious psycho-Bable nonsense. Just sayin.

And yes, I may have commented with my personal belief, but I have to Azreal Angelofdeath. This song shouldn't be a huge debate worthy event. It's simple and straight: This song was meant to show that everyone should express who they are. Point Blank. Now, wrather that has anything to do with religeon or being g** or whatever. (Which personally shouldn't have to do with anything.) is not the point, the one thing this song screams is: Self Acceptance.

To those who think this is anti g** (esp vballer616) come on!
The point is that we are born who we are and there is nothing wrong with loving it. Nothing too religious (other than god made you this way).
It is just about loving and accepting yourself for who you are and understanding that those who you don't understand didn't choose to be what you don't believe in necessarily. We're not talking murderers. We're talking people who are just different.
Accept yourself, love yourself, accept others love others. Name one religion at its true heart that doesn't aim for that.

For people who are geographically challenge, the bible takes place in the middle east and northern Africa, so guess what we were all dark pigmented. It was only after we spread out into northern climates that our bodies adapted to less light causing us to have less pigment in our skin. Hints the reason pale people burn while darker skin people tan. Look at a map please of and if Jesus really was a person he would not be white but more of an olive color with brown eyes and brown hair. Can you people even pay attention to basic biology?
Anyways that is not the point. You either like the song or not and leave it at that. Don't you have something better to do then focus on someone else or is you life so boring?

The meaning of this song is absolutely correct: That God made Lady Gaga and me and you with a plan. But that doesn't mean that we are without sin.
When sin entered the world, it affected everyone, so that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Rom. 6: 23). G**, straight, black or white we have all sinned and deserve death because of it.
But that's not the end. You see, God loves us a lot, so much in fact that He sacrificed his son so that we would not have pay for our sins.
    (John 3: 16).
So now, all we have to do is accept the free gift of grace given to us from Jesus Christ, and we will be free from sin and death, free to experience a personal relationship with our creator. (1 John 5: 11-13).

So. Basically it's not okay to be yourself because God won't love you? Well you're crazy. If you say that God created everyone on this planet, he created everyone for a reason. It wasn't an accident if you are g**, lesbian. Bi, straight,. Ect. If there were only straight white christian people on this Earth, life would be incredibly boring. And if you think for one second, that you will burn in hell if you do something bad like being who you are which isn't even bad, you're wrong! And I don't even believe in hell!
Another thing is, is that nobody chooses who they are(if that makes sense). You can't change yourself and I'm sure plenty of you tried and I'd like to see how that worked out for you.
I'd also like to see you be who you are and constantly be hated by so many people, not be able to get married to the person you love and want to be with for the rest of your life, and be scared of everyone judging you every five minutes. Put yourself in someone else's shoes. People have rights. No matter what you say, they're not going to change and you need to learn to accept that.
Lady Gaga, this song is awesome and you're awesome and you're obviously a girl and there's no confusion there!

God does not hate gays. Sure the bible may condemn and may say that its considered a sin. But how many of you can say that you have never sinned? No doubt all of us have sinned but God doesn't hate any of us for it. He died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. Homosexuals are ridiculed and told they are going to hell because they are "different". Do you think they chose to be this way? You can't just wake up and say "hey, I'm going to fall in love with this person today." I doesn't work that way. Love just happens. Its fate. No one chooses that path for themselves. So do you think its fair to tell them that God hates them? He doesn't. He created us and he loves everyone just the way they are.

    John 3: 18-21 (Kjv)
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

I think it means that you are special in a certain a way and that people should except you for who you are and that ever one is different in thier own way and don't be afraid to show your true personality. You should also so be thankful for what or who you are and rememeber that thier are people are much worser than you so except them for who thier and not for what thier look like.

Lesbian, transgendered life I'm on the right track baby" I'm pan-sexual, but the idea is basically the same. I wish someone would my father that. I don't need his approval or anyone else's but it would be nice if i could bring a girl home without having my father preach to me about "what God thinks/says" because for some reason or another my father seems to think he knows everything including what God thinks.

Coz lady gaga is a guy and a girl 'shes' telling people that they should except it coz 'she' was born that way and that you shouldn't judge or bully people who are different because they were born that way and tbf life would be boring and completly uninteresting if everyone was the same and I don't think it matters if you believe in god or not you should love yourself and everyone else not matter how different they are. So big up to everyone :) xx.

Wooow! I actually laughed out loud to that comment about how god made us to be heterosexual! Bwahahahaha! If you take the bible that literally, then I would be right in saying that you think that it is perfectly acceptable to "lie with" concubines and your cousins and siblings. Just so long as they are of opposite s**. I really cannot believe that our world is so close-minded.
Here's my question(s): What do you tell the people that "god" made with both parts, hmm? "Oh sorry! You don't get to love or 'lie with' anyone because either way you choose is sinful!"
If god doesn't want people to be g**, then why the bloody f* did he allow that to be an option? (I swear on this Earth if someone pulls that "Free Will" bullcrap, I'll scream. "Free Will" is an excuse Christians use when they don't have an explanation).
You don't choose who you love and you can't force people to be something they're not. If people don't start opening their eyes to this, we will never escape prejudices!
For all you close-minded "straight" folks out there, let me ask you this: How would like to be told that you had to be g**? That being straight was immoral and just plain wrong? Because that is exactly what you expect of the g** population.
    Sincerely,
    Straight and Open-Minded

Ok peeople get way too worked up about religion and God. And ok yea sexual orientation is different from rape, murder, pedophilia. Those all involve making a decision. No one is born a murderer or a rapist or a pedophile, they make the decision to do these things and must live with them. Unfortunately for g** people, there are people out there (you know who you are) who make them out to be as bad as these criminals when really that's just who they are.

@Lotzakidz It's really nice of you to show loyalty to your beliefs, but please make sure it's not offesnive :). Btw your name is too suggestive as well (i assume that it says "lots of kids" which involves a lot of something I won't state on the internet infront of others). Btw last time I checked, saying him is not disrespectful, my brother has recieved his birthday card from some sort of religious church and they said "G~d" instead of the real word, and they said "him" as well, as in, they are too humble to address him by his actual name.
    ---
I've always been surprised by Lady Gaga's videos and songs, this one brought tears into my eyes, I'm sure no creator of any religion would make a mistake! It's us who choose to make them, like war, going against other people's beliefs (even non religious), let this song wake your senses up!

This song is simply about not taking responsibility for your actions, we are all created in God's image (Perfect), it's us and our stupidity that screws up, not God or as Gaga states capital him (disrespectful). This song is a way for the secular world to take the easy path, giving into your demons. Sad, one may never appreciate what Jesus did for them by following this minsdet. I guess all pedifiles, rapists and murderers have the right to use this song as their montra as well, right? Or is that different then sexual orientation? Be careful how you respond! We don't want to offend these people do we? What makes salvation unfair is God is very clear on what is tolerated and what is not, he also adds as long as you belive with all your heart that Jesus Christ is your savior you will spend eternity with Him, sounds easy, but when we spend too much time trying to defend our perpetual disobedience we miss out and we only get one chance. As a Christian I can tell you that I am no better then the worst person on earth, I have done things that I am ashamed of and I continue to do things that are displeaseing to God and I deserve nothing, but when my head hits the pillow at night, I know that if I do not wake here I will wake at the foot of my maker, awaiting judgement. I'm prepared to assume responsibility for my actions. Are you?

Though there will always be racists I feel that will never change I do have friends and family support I couldn't ask for more cause I know some may feel they won't have that but be who are I felt I had to live a 'straight' life to make others happy so that's how I took the song be you there's only one :)

I think the meaning to this song can be viewed in two ways. One is the normal outright way. Which lady gaga speaks to the lgbt (mostly) community and those who haven't come out. She's encouraging them that there's nothing wrong with them and they should be proud of what they are. Even those who hate their skin color whether yellow, black, white or even blue (avatars ;)] you should love how you were born and no one can take that away from you. The other meaning I believe is more sinister and is associted with the devil. She says capital him and in no way does this refer to god and god is written with him not him hence the whole verse is just promoting the devil/illuminati. For me? I chose the first view whereby lady g is supporting the lgbt people and those being bullied/oppressed.

The song supposed to be a nice song but the video and how lady gaga portray the song, this so evil. The symbols and the theme are just an illumination. This should be tolerated. The mindset towards the youth is not good and it will lead to an evil openness. I am not judging anyone but "lord forgive what the theme or who the director, producer and lady gaga itself as they don't know what they are doing. "

This is the gaga song which changed the world. It is so important to me because it caused me to fall in love with her music. -born this way", the song not the album, reached number one in 19 different countries. It won four music awards. The song basically embodies what lady gaga represents and what little monsters (the gaga fan base) stand for. It is about self-empowerment. It is about accepting and loving every single person. This one song teaches people that every person is beautiful. It speaks volumes about equality and individualism. -born this way" is all about the fact that everyone is special and valuable, no matter to their race, colour, sexual orientation, shape, size, history or disability. I believe that this song influenced people to be more open to loving others for who they are.

This song is so powerful in so many ways. It has a fantastic meaning aand shows people thaat no matter how you were born, you have to stay that way, so you should be proud of it. You should not let anyone bring you down because you can't control who you are and how you look, the person bullying you is probably just trying to make themselves feel better, so you should just move on with dignity. God made us all equally, so we should be proud of it and never compare ourselves the others. Never, ever, ever back down, always be proud of yourself. There is always something good in bad situations, you just have to find it.

That the. Word. Of the. Living. God. Will actually resonnate in the minds of a few. The coals are upon your heads.
Whether you are born g** (which is an abomination to. God), a liar, thief, murderer, adulterer, and yes, even a sinner. Jesus calls you to deny yourself and follow him. Your passions. Who you think you are and let. H. I. M give you life.
Mark 8: 34 then he. [jesus] called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

I don't believe that anyone is born a homosexual and I don't pretend to believe that it's ok for someone to be. People choose to be that way on their own and I don't agree with it but they shouldn't be judged by anyone. Everyone has a choice to believe what they want and if they want to believe that being a homosexual is ok that's their thing. Everyone should just keep their offensive comments to themselves. I'm a christian but I don't like to go around judging homosexuals and telling them that they're going to he'll because I don't agree with their lifestyle.

In a way I did not accept my disabilty and it was after I heard this song that there is nothing wrong with me and I should be proud of who I'm and to know that god didn't make any mistakes with me and through this song I learned to love myself and accept I was born this way.

It means love yourself for who you are. There is no perfect mold for people to fall into and we should rejoice in who we are. People are meant to be multifaceted. Wouldn't the world be a boring place if everyone was a duplicate of an impossible ideal? We all have gifts to offer and we can learn so much from one another and from each of our own stories.

Guys I'm just a kid but I think the song is saying that no matter how different you are your still a great person and you should love yourself and don't be afraid to be you I mean I have a friend that was teased because she was afraid of chucky cheese but it was supposed to happen god said it should be and it was plus later she overcame her fear of chucky and moved on anyway what I'm saying here is that you shouldn't listen to the people who are mean and sometimes they might say sorry and the two of you can move on and maybe become best friends. Even the mean people are supposed to be that way and maybe they'll change and become the president that changes the world. Merry christmas and a happy new year and I hope you all found help in what I wrote.

The meaning to this song is pretty clear. It is an upbeat song saying to love yourself - including the attributes about yourself that make you different. Because your differences are what makes you special and unique. I really love what "glee" did with this song. In the episode, each character opened up about one big issue or characteristic that made them insecure. And they embraced it. Took it, and learned to be proud of it. What an awesome message!
While I like the message in the song, there is a big part that I am against. I don't care for is gaga proclaiming this message in the name of "capital h-i-m". She continues to press this point where she says, "a different lover is not a sin, believe capital h-i-m".
I am a christian. A strong christian. Who believes that my god, jesus christ - is a just, and loving god. The positive messages relayed in this song is shown everywhere in the bible.
I mean, just read 1 corinthians 13: 4-13. God is love. And I know that satan, the devil, "capital h-i-m". Whatever you want to call him - is the opposite god. He (satan) rejoices in pain, exclusion, loneliness. Etc. I find it very ironic that he would be correlated with such a positive, uplifting song. When he promotes the exact opposite.
I fully believe that god is the perfect judge. It isn't up to anyone else judge another. I find it silly that I'm even having to post this - but I believe that all individuals who have given their life to christ - regardless of sexual preference - will meet me in heaven.
I'll get off my soap box now :) again, love the message. Jesus has blessed gaga with an amazing talent.
I hope yall have a merry christmas. God bless!

Born this way is somehow a nice song to listen. There are lyrics that a person may find inspirational. But still, I don't find it pleasing to god. Its true we shouldnt change ourselves just to be accepted by all people. But there are things that we must change when it is ought to change. A g** person is not created by god; it comes from satan who encourages men to be women and vice-versa. Truth to be told, people are always vulnerable and innocent when they don't know the holy words of god.

Everything about us in god's plan. Even before we exist in this world, god knew every detail of our existence. We are not an accident. We are all struggling about ourselves. Eg. , personality, physical appearance, etc. We always ask god, -why do I look this way? ".
We wish we are like others cause we think they are greater compare with them. We always comparing ourselves and in the end, we end up as a losers. Like what adolf hitler said, -do not compare yourselves with others, cause if you do. You are just insulting yourselves. "
So stop comparing yourselves to others and start to accept for who you are. We are created in god's image. If we fail to accept ourselves, it only means that we are rejecting the fact and also the truth that christ is in us.

To stop making fun of one's sexuality! Just because some one is different doesn't make them the bad guy it makes you the bad guy for making fun of someone. You try to lifa a life you don't have to live. You don't know what they go through so whay are you making fun of them? Hedonistic and nowhere found in the bible, or could be considered christian according to orthodox standards of doctrinal teaching. Lg has an idolatrous understanding of gos and his word, and therefore, has made herself god, declaring for herself and all of her followers what is right and what is wrong.

Lady gaga isn't telling people to be g** or telling them to experiment with their sexuality. Where the hell did you get that? She saying that no matter what skin color or sexuality you are, you are who you are and you should love yourself not fall for the idiots that claim all people who love the same s** will go to hell. Loving someone of the same s** is not lust or anything of the sort. It is love.
Stop trying to be the judge and jury in something you obviously know nothing about. If your god is our judge then let him decide, don't try and be a voice for a being that you've never met and have no idea how he feels about such things. Just because your bible and your churches preach against it doesn't mean it's not ok. Do you know how many times the bible has been re-written and re-worded?

She will gag on her words on judgment day. God will not be mocked.

I think Lady Gaga is one singer that a lot of people underrate. She has sung so many songs that show us that she's not afraid to be different, but people dismiss her as being weird. But her songs are truly unique, not like most pop that has no meaning or life, and her voice is genuinely amazing instead of being autotuned and churned out by some pop princess factory. She is a killer singer and I think she has guts, grace, style and is not afraid to show her side. Thank you Lady Gaga.

People need to stop being so cruel. That kid who just killed himself, Jamey Rodemeyer, he was from my hometown. I didn't know him or have any clue who he was before I'd heard that he killed himself, but it still puts a lump in my throat reading the story. No one should have to go thru what that kid did. No one should be that cruel to another human being. Remember that next time you're about to say something cruel to someone, you don't know if your comment will be the last straw for them.

Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way" introduces the viewers to the birth of a "new race" and to a new world, using intricate imagery and a precise narrative. It is a psychedelic trip filled with occult and archetypal symbols, telling the story of a cosmic birth and new ideals. However, behind its outward message of acceptance, a more sinister message lies embedded in the symbolism of the video. At first, when I thought about birthing a new race and adding the prosthetics, I thought that maybe they should have a certain way they should walk or maybe they move a certain way, but then I realized it is actually a race within our race; it's a mindset.
    This song is beautiful.

"If it doen't 'conform' to your 'beliefs' why are you listening to it?"
The problem is that this is not a matter of opinion, where there is no right or wrong answer (and if there *is* no objectively moral answer, then it's just as arbitrary to condemn homophobia as it is to condemn homosexuality), but that this is a pair of opposing assertion of fact. One side says that homosexuality is wrong, and the other says that it is normal and natural. Both sides can't be right, which is why this debate exists.
On a side note, I'm tired of people acting or talking like sexual attraction and "love" are the same thing. That doesn't form strong relationships for straights, and it won't form them for gays, either.

Ok kobymischa - Here's the thing.
Posts & blogs exist to let people share their opinions, and their opinions are based on their beliefs, and those beliefs often come from their religious convictions.
Remember that sometimes in public, say restaurants & malls, people are forced to listen to a song they either don't like or with which they disagree with the meaning expressed in the lyrics. Or, they know their children will be exposed to it outside of their control. This means that people are free to share on this site even if they don't normally listen to Lady Gaga.
Another reason people are free to express their opinion on sites like this is that songs & blogs/posts influence the culture in which they live, therefore they have a vested interest in what is stated in songs and on web-sites. Finally, remember the first amendment: Freedom of Speech.

I don't hink this song is only talking about loving who you are is you're g** or lesbian or bi or transgendered. I think It's about loving who you are in general! It should be inspirational for everyone. My sped Grandma would hate it cuz she thinks g** is wrong, witch hurts cuz if I was, I'd be disowned by her. Shes like, it's in the bible. Witch is when I cut in and say, Yeah, right above the section of not judging people! Oh well. And psycho williams is right, we were all created equally by god.

The thing of it is, though, is that saying that something is "objectively" (inarguably, overridingly) right or wrong for everyone, is that such a statement isn't an "opinion," where it doesn't matter what someone thinks ("my favorite color is blue" "my favorite color is green"), but rather an assertion of fact ("doing [x] is morally wrong because ...").
If Group A is saying that "being gay is morally wrong because ..." while Group Be is saying that "being gay is morally right / being opposed to homosexuality is morally wrong because ...," clearly both of these ideas can't coexist at the same time, regardless of whichever of the two is right.

Since you asked, I would love to try to help.
It is wonderful that you have been trying to communicate openly and deeply with your wife, to really get "synchronized" again, so to speak. That was the first thing I was going to suggest before I saw that you were doing this already.
If the lady you had an affair with has already started a new relationship, I don't think she was being with you for *you*, per se. (Does your wife know about this, by the way? If not, I think you should be open and honest about this as well, so she doesn't find out "the hard way.")
To be honest, it doesn't sound to me like your wife is doing all this just to keep you from complaining; I think she really is trying to make things right. Remember how things were when you thought that nothing could come between you and your wife, and keep on doing those things that don't just make you yourself happy, but things that show your wife that she is truly unique and special to you.
I will be praying for the best, God bless:-)

Lol jesus christ you guys, its a very meaningful song. You guys blow it out of proportion. Her song goes straight to the point. The title says it all! I'm not a religious person, but I respect everyone who is. But some of you need to cool it and need to chill out on shoving information on here. Not everyone is gonna read it. Its an awesome song, and many people are inspired by this song.

The problem with that analogy is that it can also be easily applied to heterosexual couples, perhaps with merit (if such practices really do facilitate the spread of disease and so on).
On another note, regardless of what God designed, I don't think He's pleased just because people engage in heterosexual relationships, if everything else about those relationships is irresponsible.

Continuing my previous comment, if we talking in christian context, homosexual and bisexual is a sin. Because, even if you are born hermaphrodite, that's means that you got defetct/ anomality growth when your mother pregnant. That's a human fault. Then go do medical surgery and choose your dominant hormon. It can be healed, you know. Don't be childist and saying "ahhh.. i can't do anything, i just born this way".

I just feel like people don't get it! People do choose to be g**, but we simply weren't designed to be that way. As I once heard, when you go to the gas station, you don't put the filler in the tail pipe! It's just not the way it goes. God designed relationships to work with one man and one woman, and that's a beautiful thing! I don't hate on g** people, because they just don't get how God designed us and I can only pray they learn. If we live the way we were designed it just works! I don't know how else to explain it.

This is a great song. I think it shows so much meaning to life. And, I have seen alot of christian comments. I know what god said about gays. It is not his fault or theirs. I must disagree though, because we are one world of people, different or alike. And there is no such things as normal in this world. Quit putting down people for their religion, race, if they are g** straight or bi. No one cares! Remember in kindergarten when the teacher told us to "mind our own business" and "be the change in the world you want to see"? Well mind your own business means do not interfere with other peoples lives! The people being bullied and killing themselves online. The people who bully do not even know the people! I am disgusted with the things people say on facebook and YouTube and even this website!
If you want an account on a website, and like YouTube for example: If you deo not like a video, do not say its g** or dumb or the people who made it are fags. Simply say the video is interesting and leave it at that.
If your opinion is going to hurt someone, shut up and do not say it.

To me this song does not make much sense. I mean I understand the point she's saying but if she's saying to love yourself just the way you are then why is she saying its okay to be tranvestite. I mean seriously if you were born a man you should love that you are a man and not try to be something you're not. The whole point I'm saying is that this song is a lil confusing with the messege she's trying to point out.

Oh, and as for persecution and ridicule, and anyone being proud of having to deal with it -- speaking not to any one person but in general -- it only has value if you are being insulted expressly because you adhere to God's truth. If people criticize you because of your own cold-hearted attitude or other wrongdoings, rather than because your actions have shown them ~their~ own shame*, then you've created your own problem (1 Peter 2: 19-20).
    * (If I may paraphrase Oscar Wilde).

Regarding the below, I simply wish to share this:.
"Live wisely among those who are ~~not believers~~~, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and [seasoned with salt, in the Greek], so that you will have the right response for everyone." ~ Colossians 4: 5-6, New Living Translation; emphasis added.
For those who might be thinking that the "seasoning with salt" comes out of nowhere, this makes me think of Christ's own words in Matthew 5: 13 (Nlt) --
"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless."
This analogy tells us to adhere to God's truth and God's ways without becoming. "diluted" and flavorless, so to speak, living without a purpose and direction.
    ---
The point is that we have to strike a balance between treating other people as *humans*, not just "bundles of sin" to be condemned and tossed aside (1 Corinthians 13: 1-3) ; and treating them with the Gospel's truth, not changing something just because people don't like it. Whether or not someone "likes" something doesn't make it true, and vice versa. And yet oftentimes I'm convinced that some Christians' belligerent attitudes do no more good for the Gospel than even watering it down and diluting it would do.
Objective truth is highly important, as it's never a matter of "you believe what you believe, and I'll believe what I'll believe." Eventually, somehow, someone's going to end up being wrong, whether that is the Christian or the skeptic or both.
By the way, for anyone trying to use threats of Hell in order to convince people to follow God, first you have to convince them that God and Hell are real in the first place and not fabrications of men. No matter how harsh a threat is, it is pointless if people view it as empty words with no power or reality behind them.

Everyone on here who actually has the nerve to judge innocent people like this and call your selves religious? Last I knew, religion meant you didn't judge anyone. It's just so disgusting, that our world has gone through so much prejudice and you just sit there saying these people choose to have this way of life? A life where everyone is constantly hating on them? Really? Is that really what "god" tells you? Because if that's true, I don't want to believe in god, if god is really that judge mental, I'm proud to be agnostic/atheist :) because in my mind, I don't judge anybody. Nobody goes to hell for simply loving someone. It's just not right.

With respect, my point wasn't that gays can or cannot "choose" to be g**. That was pretty much irrelevant to everything I tried to write. My point is that I've seen several statements made in these comments, by Christians and non-Christians alike (hence why I was addressing multiple people at once), where the underlying arguments don't make sense.
In other words, to the people I was talking to, I'm not asking "why don't you believe the same things I do," but "why don't your arguments stand up to examination" -- sorry if it came across otherwise.
Thanks for interpreting my counter-arguments and my attempts at bringing actual clarity as nothing more than blanket-statement generalizations ("as a lesbian, I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't speak on behalf of the gay community" *) and "preaching," though, as I really appreciate that.
    * Just so we're on the same page. If you took offense to something in particular that I said, or if you thought I was making 'generalizations' other than the one I mentioned and dealt with above, I would be happy to try to present it in a more sensible manner.

Being g** isn't a choice. If it wasthere would be very few of them! But it's not! It's the way they feel about the same s**! They can't choose the life they live. It's in the brain! And it's not a disorder either! There is nothing wrong with being g**! Go Lady Gaga!

I'd like to remind people that long before the Bible was written (by men, it wasn't magically handed down to people from a higher being) there were many other religions in which homosexuality was not condemned. Example, Greece. The king of Greek gods, Zeus, had a male consort named Ganymede.
But, back to the Bible, the version we read today is not the very original Bible at all. It has been translated back and forth so many times, words have been changed to fit languages where another word might not be a part of it. As well, before the printing press, the Bible was copied by Monks by hand. What was to stop one monk that condemned homosexuality from slipping that in as a sin?
As well, think about the many different branches of Christianity. Which of those is the correct branch? Also, don't forget, Jesus was a jew. There are so many different religions in the world. What is to prove that any one religion is more true than any other? Well, certainly not the overwhelming scientific proof that the world is much older than the Bible would lead us to believe.
As it is, this song isn't about God loving you, it's about you loving you. When it says 'God makes no mistakes' it means that whoever you are is exactly who you're supposed to be, and if you do believe in God, then he made you exactly who you are. On top of that, if I did believe there was a god, wouldn't he have the power to control each and every person, thus able to eliminate all sin because we'd all be mindless drones to his will?
What many people don't know is that there are documented cases of animal (non-human animals that is) homosexuality. Clearly, it isn't something that we consciously choose if animals that function mostly on the Id can become homosexual.

Csmit186: You're very En Vogue and certainly you're up with the times as well. I have to congratulate you for that. However, when you enter the "real world" and face obstacles and challenges, and God forbid, something harms you, your family or loved ones and you need support, I sincerely hope you have that support, because there are a lot out there who don't. As a Man or Woman of God, wouldn't your time be better spent serving the Lord than surfing the net watching Gaga vids (questionable in itself. Ahem. Grab your 'special' Bible and repent, sinner) and attempting to impose your selfish, narrow minded banter (Oh--Btw--You were born that way. Not much we can do about the narrow mind issue--sorry). The day will come when your foolish a$$ has a Boss, Manager, family member, son, daughter (please don't pro-create) or Superior who is g** and I hope they shower you with love, support and reality. You can hide under that 'special edition' Bible you have, and I'll continue to live and love my life, family, friends, career, accomplishments, outreach and volunteering, travel, the good, the bad and the ugly and when I walk into church tomorrow I will be praying for. You. Everyone can use a little extra help. I, unlike yourself, can celebrate life without feeling the need to terrorize others. Finally, every single church, from the Midwest to the Northeast, to Florida and other parts of the south. Every Church has accepted me and opened their arms to me, just as the Lord has. All 35 years. Have a great weekend and lighten up!

Ok wow. I believe in God and I like how timqz1 tried to teach that Jesus would hang out with g**, Lesbian, Bi or Trans-gender, and I'm not saying he wouldn't, he probably would, but the purpose on why he sits with them is the point. And I also liked how timqz1 had a great point on how you shouldn't judge others. If it was me I wouldn't judge these people but that doesn't mean that I don't think it is right. Genesis 2: 23-24 states "The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh'...For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they will become one flesh." I believe God said wife not anything else. Jesus would sit with these individuals trying to bring them back to what God thinks is right. And for the unbelievers out there, if God isn't real. Wouldn't it really suck if you were wrong. Think about it I mean its better to be safe than sorry. Eternal Hell doesn't sound like fun to me but you know if its not true then what do you have to worry about?

Reading some of these hateful comments, I'm trying to figure out what motivates these "Christians". They certainly can't believe in Christ's message "Judge not less ye be judged". Christ hung out with the lepers, tax collectors, the poor and oppressed. All the marginal people shunned and hatefully judged by the culture of that time. If you're not g**, fine, don't have g** s**. But for a person to express such ignorant hate reveals more about that person than the group being judged. It shows a person who's ignorant, not very bright, full of spite and unhappiness, who feels better about his or hers miserable life only by bashing officially despised groups. Show me a homophobe, ra acist, an anti-Semite, etc., and I'll show you someone deeply unhappy, self-loathing, and frustrated by the way their life has turned out.

You'll go to hell I'll go to heaven I'll be happy an you'll be miserable but whatever god gave you the free will to choose of he also gave you a brain to make smart decisions with which you apparently don't do an ya kno I don't kno you could be one of the nicest people in the whole world brilliant amazing a great person in general but none of it matters if you die an go to hell. I mean who wants that. I see I can't change your mind. I tried to witness to you but some people are set in there ways. I just wish you'd realize how much better your life would be if you had god in it. Sorry if I came off rude in the first message but my faith in god means alot to me an it hurts to see people who don't believe because I don't want anyone to go to hell.

    Dear, meamorevolefayah
well, I have three things to say:
first off, the way you were writing was atrocious. It sounded almost like gangster talk, maybe worse. I found it very difficult to read through your entire paragraph
second, you said, direct quote here "again believe what ya want but god is real an dont u ever say he aint" do you know how contradictory that phrase is? (never mind the grammatical issues) Believe what you want, you said, then you say, but god is real, and then you go right on ahead telling me I can't ever say that he isn't! I f you had said something along the lines of "In my opinion, god is real, but you are free to your own beliefs" Than perhaps it would have made sense. But don't you go telling me that I can't say what I don't want too. Never mind the law of freedom of speech, but you definitely won't get very far trying to shut me up.
Thirdly, I find it ludicrous that you don't even know your own religion. I mean really, "God died for us"? Even I know that it was not god who died, but Jesus, whom is said to be God's son. Of course I believe that Jesus was just a good person, with admirable ideals that were greatly disputed. Of course the whole "reincarnation" thing is complete crap but, have your own opinion, I don't care.
That is, as long as you don't try and tell me what I can and can't do.

Homosexuality and bestiality right there.

Don't include the bible dudes. First of all, if God could directly speak to us, he would tell us not to judge because we are all equal in his eyes. The bible was written by humans and they themselves unknowingly contradicted the idea of God's love. God does not judge, human beings do. So before you add passages from the bible, know first what God would say, not some book written by humans.

@repinj, umm I'm a Christian too, and I don't agree with homosexuality nor do I think its a choice, but I do think your approaching this the wrong way entirely. Chill dude. Legit. All your doing is ticking people off, including me. If your gonna say your a Christian, then maybe you should try acting like one. I'm good friends with alot of gays, lesbians, and bisexuals, but I still love them just as much as I do my straight friends. Granted I think what their doing is wrong, but I've never and never will get up in their faces and judge them in the name of the "WORD" as you call it. (which would be nice if you were less obnoxious and just said the bible or something) all I do is let them know I'm against it, and let god take it from there. All we were called to do is to be a testimony fro christ and share his word. Not judge them and call them unholy sinners. Okay? Good. Geez and we wonder why so many people hate christians nowadays. Cuz none of us act like the bible tells us to! Alright. I'm done.

I shouldn't have posted the last sentence, you're right.
Now, repinj I personally don't believe your grandchild will ever be changed. It isn't a matter of if god loves you and your grandchild. And I don't know why you would think people would choose to be different, shunned by people. It is becoming more accepted by some parts of society, but obviously not all. G** people commit suicide, because they don't want to be that way, they don't want to be different. My 2nd cousin, my mom's cousin, is g**. She used to baby sit him and says they always knew he was different. I doubt he would have decided that at that young age.
Okay, now think about when you fell in love with your wife, assuming you have/had one since you have grandchildren. Did you think, "Oh, I want to be attracted to her. I think I'm going to fall in love now." No, because that's not how things work. You cannot help who you like. So in my belief, yes they were born that way. And I do not feel a song encouraging them to embrace the person that they are and that they are no lesser of a person than anyone else is in any way wrong.

There are so many things to be said about this song. I honestly love it and it's meaning. Not to be religious, but I like how she says "Cuz got makes no mistakes" which makes me feel better about God excepting me into his land no matter who I am. This song makes me feel better about who I am or what I like to do. And yes, it's kinda obvious she's pointing out to the gays, and yes, it makes me feel closer and closer to coming out of the closet, but remember this is for all the minorities who is or were made fun of and bullied. (Which by the way, I love how Glee did this song!) But anyways, yes Lady Gaga can be mistaken as "Weird" or "Crazy" but she is actually just being theatrical and who she is. Just like, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, P! Nk, I could go on and on but as long as the point of this song is expressed the right way, I don't have to worry about telling me the meaning. Because the concept of this video was didn't combine with this song?

You made two statements, you love the song, and she needs to not wear so much make up? Do you see the glaring contradiction? She can wear as much make up as she likes because she is who she is and she was born that way, as a theatrical person, so Loves the dramatic. She has her own style and nobody should judge or bully her, or anyone else, simply because of the amount of make up, style of clothes, or haircut. What they believe, or how they live. Judgment is not for us, that is for later. Get it?

Haha, there is a popular paradigm of this generation that no one has the ability alter their personality or being. In general, it serves as an incredibly effective excuse to justify quite literally any behavior- no matter how morally or ethically justifiable it may be. For instance, a murderer might use the excuse that he is a murderer because he was born that way. Is that the society we really want to create?- where any action is justified and all opinions are equally valid. Whether this form of philosophy is acceptable is a different matter (although classicly disporven by Emmanuel Kant). However, I would think that even the most liberal of people would acqueisce that this is not the world we wish to make.

People, from what I've skimmed from your posts, here are a things we should pause to think about
    1. If god loves us, why would he send us to hell, home of lucifer whos souls purpose is to destroy us for simply like g** love? I could understand Reincarnation to grass or a fly, but eternal damnation seems like a bit much.
    2. If god didn't want us to be different and diverse, why did he gives us free will? Why would there be any gays, lesbians, retards, blacks, or disabled kids at all? He made us different for a reason.
    3. Think of a person like a work car. They are all the same model, but some may have different license plates, some may smell like weed while others reck of pizza. But all in all, they are all the same yet diverse.
    4. For those in defense of lady Gaga, who cares if she is a he or if he is a she. Is there somthing wrong with trannys?
In conclusion, I'm sure there is one thing we can all agree. Lady Gaga is one *ed up girl. Gaga, I love you, but who the * makes A music video where they give birth with the camera right at the uterus?!? For those that think I'm full of crap, I'm ok with that and I accept that. After all, isn't that what this song is about?

I've asked this question before and will keep on asking it till I get a straight forth honest answer. I may not be a "christian" but I even know that the bible says nothing about gays, lesbians, bis, transgenderd or anything else of the sort. I really wish that if you guys want to down them and say its there choice that you would get your facts straight. This is why the world is filled with so much hate. People just don't understand why people do what they do. You really think someone chooses to be ridiculed because of how they feel. You really think someone wants to be an outcast. You really think someone wants to be picked on everyday of there life. I think not. So think of that "gay" as your father. Would you tell him hes going to hell because of how he feels. I know I couldent.

In all fairness in the book of leviticus in the bible it says God hates gays. It also says God hates shellfish.
However realistically it's all hearsay. My pastor told me that this guy wrote down this stuff that an angel told him that God to the angel that g** people are bad.
Doesn't that kind of sound like my friends sisters friends boyfriends brothers cousin said that you were cheating?
Also doesn't it seem odd that on one hand God says love one another, do not judge it's his job. Yet american Christians are the most judgmental people on Earth? Hypocritical much? Why is it any of your business anyway?

Self indulgance is king in todays society. Child molesters. Murderers, alcholics, addicts, are all "born that way" with the genes and predispostion to "indulge" in their desires. They cannot help their impulses, over and over I hear they just feel this way and they can't change how they feel. Even some become suicidal if you take away their ability to molest or murder, Watch Criminal Minds. Simply because something feels good does not make it right. Quit flaunting, make your choice fine but please don't shove it in our faces.

God does not make mistakes but people do. If you were born a him God designed you to be with a her and viceversa. Read Romans chapter 1 in the Holy Bible. Those who tell Christians not to judge should be aware that the Christians of today did not write the Bible, it was already written before we were born. God is love and love is being honest with people and telling them the truth. Love is telling someone what they need to hear not what they want to hear.

I don't know what to think. God says to treat all equally, love everyone, and I know you don't choose to be g**. But, in the bible it says being g** is a sin. I'm pansexual, so duh I'm ok with g** people. I didn't choose to like guys, girls, and transgenders. But I do. But I'm also a strong Christian. I love God so much. I couldn't see not being with him in heaven. So I guess when judgement day comes, we'll find out what happens.

I agree that the video give the impression of something that may contain evil manipulation, but so too did Michael's Thriller video and many others. Just theatrical fun. Only the narrow minded, fanatics and those lacking wisdom could consider the lyrics of the song as being evil.
These self goodies and so forth have been making evil condemnations for far too long, when it is they who are evil. Now the wheels have changed direction and they are receiving their just rewards - people pay no attention anymore and another course of opinions has gained freedom to express.
Everything is in accordance with 'cause and effect' - two wrongs will never make a right - what we need to reach out of all of this is balance - the middle way. Let's hope that happens sooner than later. Nam myoho renge kyo - nam myoho renge kyo - nam myoho renge kyo.

@blah1 you are so far off the point you may as well move to Jupiter. It's not that people can't change, it's that they shouldn't have to just because you think they should! Second, are you seriously comparing Gay's to murderers, and thieves? Really? Who the hell are you to juge anyone? You are human like the rest of us, m sure you have nasty or annoying habits, tendencies, but you needn't worry that "dirty secrets" will be plastered all over the internet with nasty comments (like your's) attached to them. How a person chooses to dress, can't help who they love, or believe In "your God". Or not, This does not give you the right to cast judgment. " lest Ye be judged". If you have a "personal" issue with Gays. Get over it, it's 2011 for Judas sake! Gay's exist, in ur supermarket, your churches, restaurants, theaters, they are everywhere. I suggest you try to just deal with it. You've had your whole life to figure this all out already?!

So self-serving and oblivious how people love to claim God's ok with homosexuality, despite the fact that in the real Bible, He makes it obivious that there's nothing ok about it. I think calling such behavior an 'abomination' is quite clear. (except for those of you who buy those repugnant 'updated' bibles that take out everything that doesn't sound happy go lucky, so you can pretend you're ok.) I'm aware it's not the popular sentiment these days because it's not tolerant, everybody wants to be en vogue and up with the times. Sure it'd be happy and easy and sunshiney to pretend everythings ok, but guess what, God's not about tolerating disobedience to his Word. He's a veritable symbol of intolerance when it comes to being opposite to His teachings.

I'm not an obsessed fan or anything, but we shouldn't really hate on Gaga or Bieber or anyone because they are actually reaching out to people and try to make a difference. You hate them because they look weird or they dress weird, he's a f*g or he sounds like a girl, whatever. So what does hate or saying they are trying too hard will do to the world? More Hate. That's what.
Let me ask you, what have you done/will do to make the world a better place?

Well Worldofamazing I don't quite agree with you on the whole there is no god thing. But it was definitely a refreshing change from all the freakin holy rollers posting on here. Everyone's entitled to believe (or not believe) what they want to. I don't judge you on that and I don't think you automatically go to hell for not believing in god. However, all those self-righteous losers who think they're better than everyone else when really they're evil will go to hell.

Funny meamorevolefayah, I'm catholic too, I believe in god, jesus and the holly spirit, and I also believe that all of them means love, and comprehension and a lot of nice thing, soo non of them would say " don't love gay, straight, or bi,Lesbian, transgendered life because they are different" despite what ever says the church. And I'm not saying any of this without knowleg, I have had childhood friends that have "came out of the closet" and I just couldn't turn my back of them, I didn't even think it twice, is not something they chooose they just born that way!. I shoudn't even suprised me. Jajaja!

Hi everyone! I love this song, because of it's acceptance of everyone, which is a virtue I think we should all have. But I just wanted to point out one thing the song is missing; Religion. She mentions how "God makes no mistakes" and believe in "him" and yada. But what about those who don't believe in god? Not to offend any Christians out there, but I think this is one of the worst discriminations, something that has caused far worse strife that the conflict of sexuality. I for one, am atheist (though I do not believe in labels) and that has gotten me in a lot of conflict. The second I mention anything contradictory to the bible or "God" some people practically stick their fingers in their ears and sing. I'ts not like I'm insulting their religion or anything, but I believe in free speech and expression; we can't be told what to believe. No more than we can change our feeling, which ties in the homosexuality thing. I for one, see nothing wrong with feeling the way we feel and being g** is not devilish or a sign from hell, or whatever it is that Christians believe. Sorry if I'm rambling, but I just needed to put my opinion out there ;)

Wow. Lotzakidz. Wow! You are seriously the biggest effing retard I have ever seen on a post. 1) if you don't like the song, then why are you looking up the lyrics? 2) the only person who is offended/offending here is you, so go else where. 3) no! Sexual orientation is not a choice! I'm pretty sure your also a racist too so, do you think you could choose to love a person of another color or creed? No? Then how is it different you brain dead c*t? Go pray that the lord didn't give you a g** child because you're so hateful!
I know everyone has their own opinions but don't come onto a lyric for such a great song about excepting your self and then bash people for their beliefs and how the song makes them feel. Its song lyric nazis like you that make these song nessecary so that our children don't go killing them selves for being different!
Go bless your no doubtedly 8kids and pray really hard that one of them isn't a monster like you, wh8re!

Omfg you guys all need to lighten up because you are going to have a sad, lonely life if you spend your eternity loving and worshiping one person/thing that may or may not even exist. It's a song, a beautiful song, that teaches everyone, young and old, about accepting yourself and others. Homosexuality is not a sin. Or against God's will, otherwise it wouldn't exist. Not just within the human race, but within hundreds of species of animals. Homosexuality is not developed over a progressive period of time. G** tendencies can be noticed from the age of 3. I for one am a homosexual male and grew up with not one father figure. But two! Yet I am still g**. You can pray all you want for God's forgiveness and love. But in the end. You will still be g**, because its not a disease or mental retardation that can be changed, and to me, its a sin to live your life hiding the fact that your homosexual, lying to yourself, and your family. I know Christians who preach the word of God, one in fact who is a minister now, that I've witnessed in homosexual acts. If God exists, he doesn't care who we sleep with. God teaches love, respect. So how but we all just love and respect everyone. Who the hell cares what you do on your own time! Grow up.

People aren't born with uh odd feelings. God made us to be heterosexual. He does not approve of unclean ways. Born this way is just a way of saying "We don't judge you, god doesn't care." But he does. He inspired man to write the bible, and it specifically says he hates men who lie with men, or women who lie with women. It's wrong to go against it. God's way is best, and he hates you wierdos who are, you know what.

@repinj okay I'm a Christian but you're seriously crazy. This is a song about not judging others and not thinking you are a lesser person because of judgmental people like you. Matthew 7: 1-2 "judge not, that you be not judged. for with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you" so shove that up your a* and get a life.

Sick! Sick! Sick! This is another lie from Satan. No one is born that way! God gives man free choice and it is a choice men and women make to live this sinful lifestyle. Romans 6: 23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. Sin is a service or slavery, and its reward is death, or eternal misery.
Deuteronomy 30: 19 tells us we can choose life or death. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life so choose him and he can deliver you from this deviant life.
Do yourself a favor and read Romans: 1: 27.

Nope God makes No mistakes. But you can choose to. In my personal ideas. God, yes he Loves you. But not what you are doing. You choose what you do or you choose to let it change you. In the bible it states that homosexuals will find their place in hell. That does sound very cruel and very judgemental and I'm not a judgemental person but I have to say that being homosexual is a choice, you can convince yourself that you always have been g** which is what alot of people do. Its hard to not form emotions for people of the same gender. Women were made to comfort each other as friends and men were made to be with women. Obviously!. Or from the very beginning it would have been 'adam and steve! ' you Can choose who to fall in love with. Don't put yourself in situations to make your self avaliable in that way.
