They've still not published my corrected lyrics, then, maybe six days after correcting the whole thing from top to bottom. so no point in adding any annotations or meanings, then.

A random reflection: Garner Ted Armstrong was an American televangelist representing a church that was weird even by American standards. Among other things, the Worldwide Church of God preached a form of Christianity that made white supremacism a (veiled) article of faith, asserting that while God loves all human beings, the white race are the pinnacle of his creation and are directed by Him to rule the world and to rule over the lesser races. The Bonzos skewered this by having Garner Ted perform a few lines of scat singing - the vocal style of black American music, a thing Garner Ted regularly preached against as Ungodly and the work of Satan.

Just realised I can freely correct. Given the state this was in, that's twenty-tive minutes of my life that I won't get back...

An early memory, being about ten years old, listening to "Gorilla" and being captivated by this as a piss-take of that bit in the show where the band leader feels a need to namecheck EVERYBODY involved, sometimes almost right down to the tea-lady who provides refreshments during rehearsal breaks. Even then I realised this could get a bit insincere and overblown and was ripe for parody - and suuddenly, here it is. Wonderful stuff!

This is all over the place and really needs to be accurately re-written and reformatted before any annotations can be added. The text is out, the lines are broken, the punctuation is wrong and it really, really, needs serious editing. How would I set about doing this? It's all a bit shambolic, as it stands.
