This whole song is talking bout how shes getting over a break up. Its first goes how much it hurt then it goes to how she cried and sobbed and then finally she realized that he doesn't even matter. It took her some time to get over him but she finally did and she felt clean. She thought that she was going to drown but then she gets up and moves on. It took her 10 months to fully recover but now shes all better and will move on with her life.

And that because of him dieing he woke a light of darkness in her and it hurts her. And he died aka the fallen hero its all she things about.
