This song is about the dangers of blindly following religion and the negative side of love. If you follow religious teachings without actually believing in them, you could end up bringing extra negativity into your life and just in general hurting yourself. Love can be very risky, and it can end in pain and serious trust issues.

When he says "It's like a stranger had a key, came inside my and all my things around" he's referring to drug addictions and how addictions mess with people's minds. "Deep 6" refers to how drug addictions lead to dying young.

All of the fans who the band has talked to and interacted with are a family of sorts. Chris is saying that he and the rest of the band are standing up against those people who ostracize their fans for listening to them and being different.

Christians will often chastise them and call them "Satanic" and such. But, they are misusing their religion and just insulting the band for no reason. Using your religion to hate will get you nowhere in life. Motionless in White will continue to do what they do and be who they are, even if it "goes against someone's religion."

So many people will insult them and then go and insult another band. They'll often watch they're music videos or even go to their concerts just to do that. They keep coming and going because that's not what the band is meant for.

The insults, such as being called "emo", "f*gs", and "Satanic" are pointless and stupid. There's no point in reasoning with the people who call them that since their insults don't even have any reasoning behind them. They're just spewing out hatred and lies, with nothing underneath.

So many people don't understand the point of the bands songs and will just hate on them and go out of their way to try to screw up the band's success. They think they're so clever, but Motionless in White won't let it get to them. They're going to keep fighting back against it.

The antagonist (who, in this song, is the people who ostracize Motionless in White for being different and or call them Satanic) is someone who follows stupid trends and ridicules others just because society says they should and does horrible things to fit in.

This song is about a dysfunctional relationship. The couple lusts after each other, but they're not truly in love. They both know this, but they keep the relationship going. They cause each other to go through so much pain in order to satisfy their lusts and stay in a relationship and not be alone.

The antagonist acts like they own everything to hide the fact that they're actually a coward. They act like they're so powerful, but in reality they have no power over him. They laugh at all of the stuff he did, even though they're no better themselves.

In an interview, Taylor Swift said that she got the inspiration for this song from the anime, "Death Note", hence the lyrics "I've got a blank space baby, and I'll write your name." Another example of the "Death Note" inspiration is the lyrics "Magic, madness, heaven, sin." Magic refers to how magical and strange it was to find the Death Note, madness to the way it can drive it's owner crazy, heaven refers to how the Death Note originally belonged to a god, and sin referring to the sinfulness of using the Death Note to kill people. The rest of the lyrics seem to refer to the plot of Death Note.
