This song means a lot to me. I can totally relate to it. I'm sure everyone can. I think the message is that someday you will find someone that you really like, maybe even love, but even if they break up with you, you and the person you were with may forget it eventually but if you do remember, you don't have to go to the boy and make him remember. All you can do is hope. The person you were with might not want to remember it, they might not want to get back with you but really there's nothing you can do about it, at least you still have the memories.
