Feeling the Heart Break isn't about a breakup, or a fight with a significant other. I wrote this song about my depression and anxiety. I battle it like many others do, but I wanted to really emphasize there is hope that lies ahead even when you feel your back is against the ropes. The world might through a lot at you. There may be times you feel good going through your everyday routine, and then all of the sudden it hits you. That anxiety and depression rushes in without giving you a warning or a heads up. This song shows I can relate with anxiety and depression but know tomorrow is another day and don't let that anxiety and depression consume you. Ride it out and look forward to what lies ahead.

When I met you the day you left,
I fell on my knees.
I drove to the airport and lost the keys
To all that ever held us together
And all I saved would be here
The bridge has a huge connective meaning to it to an outsider listening In reality, this really happened. I went to the airport to pick up a person I was with for 5 1/2 years only to hear she met someone else. It crushed me. While she still struggled to let go and wanted to hang on, I wanted to wait, but then it leads to the hook "It's those times in our life I wish would stay, that's the moment that pushed you away" where she really found her place where she wanted to be and I had to accept that place didn't involve me anymore.

forget the 8-5
I feel my generation doesn't truly work a 9-5 job anymore. That 8-5 is that extra hour each day you have to put in to earn a paycheck. With student loan debt piling, this is a way of saying even though you work that extra hour each day, you still have to find time for you.
