This song was written by Pete Wentz after his unsuccessful suicide attempt. He dealt with depression, and this was a beautiful way to vocalize it. He wrote this, making sure each lyric was so carefully thought out. And Patrick sang it very well, especially his acoustic. This song strips down so many barriers, showing that punk kids have feelings too.

This is putting a sardonic spin on the common term, " a catch", which means someone who would be a good romantic/etc partner. It comes from fishermen, because when they caught a good fish, they would abbreviate to just "a catch." The music video is also on a boat, to emphasize this and another lyric in the second verse. He is talking about how he is "screwed up" with his mental health, saying that nobody would actually love him because of his issues.

This could mean the "oh oh ohs" in the back, or more likely, it means that the song itself is the beat of his heart. Perhaps he is talking about when you tell someone a large important secret about yourself, and you're trying to convince them of the truth of it.
