He had his chance with her and he blew it. Instead of capturing her heart, and taking good care of it, he broke it. She wants him out of her life,she never wants to have to deal with him ever again. Apparently she has been through this multiple times, maybe he was trying to win her back, but she was done.

She was always the one telling him that she wanted to be with him. He never said that so he must not have felt that way towards her, and maybe thats one of the reasons he broke it off with her. But then again, why would he write her love songs and try to woo her?

Now that her man is one she can "breath" which means she is no longer being held down. She can move on from the past, and get away from him. There is obviously a reason she wanted out. Kelly states that thanks to him, she can finally get what she wants. That could possibly mean a good relationship. If he broke it off with her the moving on, and getting what she wants makes sense.

In the beginning her man was always there for her and was a good boyfriend. he had been "dedicated", but that's normal for a beginning of a relationship. Kelly states " wasn't long before I called you mine," There is a possibility she rushed into the relationship, and didn't know him as much as she thought she did, but now its gone and she feels better.
