To me, Treehouse is about finding someone who will be come your found family. The lyrics, "I'm the captain, and you can be the deputy" means that the narrator has found someone they cherish deeply. If I'm being honest, I feel like this song can be for found families all around the world.I may write a book based off of this song. I reminds me that I'm not alone, and I need that reminder everyday. This world isn't a good place right now, and there's nothing one person can do."Why can't everyone just go away" is a line I relate to, cause I don't like to be around large crowds. But I always find my solace, or a person I trust deeply to talk to.
