I think this song is about the world as a whole. People take the world for granted and just think, 'Oh, I made this little bit of mess, I'm sure a little bit of garbage won't hurt it. ' But the truth is, it does. And no one realizes it. See the thing is, people start wars with little things. And this really damages the world and the world's natural beauty. Also, it shows a lot in the video too. They are in Greenland, and they are stood on these mountains, in a space on their own. And in little clips of the video, it shows the mountains falling apart. And I know that this is cause by global warming. This song is about caring for things and how when you look around, the world is beautiful, but in reality, it isn't, because people are destroying it.

I think this song is about someone who has found the one they love and then they left them like straight after and regretted it, "I left her when I found her and now I wish I'd stayed". Also they go looking for that person and can't find them because they may have died "Some search, never finding a way before long, they waste away". That person that is looking for the person they love also thinks about them too with the few memories they have together "Can't help but think of the times I've had with you pictures and some memories will have to help me through"

I think that this song is about a boy who is like a little terror when he is younger. And his father isn't exactly the kind of guy that wants to know him. Then one day about 15 years later. When the boy is in a popular punk band. His father thinks about how he could have got to know his son when he was younger and now his son is having a baby, which is also going to be a son, his father wants to know again. And this is strange because it seems like the father of the boy only wants to know him when he is a child and the bit in the song where it says 'and we won't get it back when we die', here they are saying that when the father dies. They won't get back all the memories they could have had together as a father and son. So this is basically about a father son relationship that has gone wrong and when the father dies. Tthe son wants to have happy memories with his father and the only one he has is when the grandchild is born and the father realises that it is a boy, which is when he actually wants to know his own son. But I just think that this song is about a gone-wrong father son relationship. Thanks for reading. Xxxstephxxx.

I think personally, this song is about a man that is nearly dead, but he is only in a coma. And all he can remember well he is in this coma is that 'His father took him into the city to see a marching band'. So he figures this must be the most significand moment in his life. And all he wants to do is find out what the words were that his father said to him. Thanks for reading. Xxxstephxxx.
