This really captures the way he feels now looking back on his life and how he should have dealed with it then. He sees now that he should've been optimistic and hopefull, his dreams could've and did get get him out of the "crappy" life he was living. I think this is a really good song.

I think this song I about losing someone you are close too, or something that would break you down if you lost it. Feeling the pain and agony grip you, you wonder why does it have to be this way?
