The first time I heard "The River" I got excited because it was screaming Biblical stories (prodigal son, baptising, sinner, delivered). I just never thought that gc were a religious band. I think it means that Madden realises that this Earth is a cesspool of evil and after experiencing rebellion towards God, he realises going in God's way is better, so he wants to be repent (be delivered). But I think people will automatically get what gc are saying. I love that they are doing this in the public pop business.
