This verse refers to those pitiful souls who say and do ANYTHING for fame, while simultaneously avoiding doing or saying anything that could vaguely construed as controversial; they can't risk getting on the public's bad side.
"Homopolitan" could mean "gay for pay", as in pretending to be gay, or least bi, in order to seem more interesting. They'll never actually engage in a gay relationship, it's just to grab attention (think Kay Perry).

Keeping with theme of the album (being used by the media), the celebrity is too doped up on drugs, being it actual substance abuse or just addicted to fame in general, to form any reliable decision-making skills and has sacrificed their personality and morals to stay in the game.
Eventually they will wear out their welcome and be kicked to the curb in favor of new talent.

"we're white and oh so hetero
And our s** is
Completely milquetoast and square in every way that matters, even intimacy is bland. Basically celebrities who, after overcoming their demons, make it a mission to advertise their "cleanliness" at every turn, blah blah blah, "found God and He gave me strength", and so on...

Not necessarily in a literal sense, we are "Killing Strangers" by unwittingly shifting our rage to outside targets because we lack the power of self-reflection to understand whats really bothering us. Because we`re at war with Eurasia.
Or if you want to look at it from a political angle, waging war against the nebulous "others" to distract us from corruption at home.
