“Take What You Want” is a song in which the artists are addressing particular romantic interests who are depicted as being callous towards their feelings. It is therefore safe to say that the lyrics are directed towards lovers who have apparently done them wrong. Malone comes off as being really caught up in a toxic relationship. He had fallen for someone who is not only untruthful but also “preyed on every mistake”. By this he is insinuating that she was consistently verbally abusive towards him. Indeed she is portrayed as one of those types who would rather see her lover fail than succeed. And she conducted herself accordingly. This romance has been so detrimental to Posty’s development that he describes himself as “wasting away”, as in slowly dying. This expression would likely point more to his emotional disposition than a physical state. Putting it simply, this lady has a habit of weakening his morale and self-esteem. And whereas he is now ‘trying to find his way out’ of the situation, it is clear that, at least for the moment, this is something which Malone is compelled to endure. That is to say that this romantic experience reads like a classic case of someone who is deeply in love with an abusive partner. Meanwhile the woman Travis Scott describes has similar attributes due to her tendency to ‘throw stones’, as in launch criticisms, at him. But he handled the situation a bit differently, insinuating that he took her negativity and instead transformed it into something positive. But his main gripe against this lady appears to be her overly-promiscuous ways. The way Scott’s words read, particularly in his pre-chorus, it is as if he is trying to say that a few of his buddies slept with this woman also. But in all honesty he doesn’t appear as if he was overly-committed to her sensually either. Meanwhile the chorus itself, which is held down by Ozzy Osbourne, paints the artists more or less as victims of the wiles of the aforementioned ladies. Indeed the titular expression, “take what you want”, alludes to their perceived powerlessness under the given circumstances. And it is also meant to be a sarcastic sentiment. The vocalists are basically letting these women know that they are well aware of the abuse they suffer at their hands. Yet the general insinuation is that their feelings for these individuals are too strong for them to simply walk away. Or put another way, this song is based on the artists being emotionally-attached to romantic partners who abuse their trust and affections.

This song really means a lot to me because i struggle with this as well and so it helps to know that others are with me and that I'm not alone. And it helps to know that there are people who are willing to share their struggles with others and not just keep it to themselves. It helps to know that I can share and help another as well.

I've got all these demons hiding underneath
Nobody can see them, nobody but me, and you're the reason
The only thing that keeps me from diving off the deep end
Because I've got all these demons, demons, demons, mhm
To me this means that he has "demons" or burdens that are with him and he feels that nobody understands, nobody knows how it feels, and he is the only one that does. But then he remembers someone who does and this person keep him from taking his life.

The lyrics talk about Eilish's relationship with her brother Finneas, as well as a nightmare that the singer had. The nightmare involved Billie "stepping off the Golden Gate and finding out that people didn’t like her as much as they let on" The singer also said, "We started writing it because I literally had a dream that I killed myself and nobody cared and all of my best friends and people that I worked with basically came out in public and said, like, 'Oh, we never liked her.' In the dream, the fans didn’t care. The internet shit on me for killing myself, all this stuff, and it really did mess me up.

To begin with, it should be noted that Why Don't We are relaying this song post break-up. At the beginning it is made clear that despite being in a turbulent relationship with the addressee of the track (i.e significant other) they still derive pleasure from from seeing her "strip down" after they argue. But by the time the pre-chorus rolls around, we see that apparently these conflicts contributed to their relationship dissolving completely, and a "couple of months" have transpired since then. And the homies miss their ex. So the chorus features them stating that they "still do" both "love" and "hate" this particular lady. Or another way of looking at it is not that "loneliness" has set in, they are compelled to apologize in attempt to get back close to her. But at the same time, they obviously have not forgotten what drew the two of them apart in the first place, as in the aforementioned disputes. But at the end of they day, the bottom line is that they still desire their ex. And they are earnestly hoping that she feels the same as well.

To me it means that they don't have a very god relationship, but they still really like each other. They say they wanna leave but they can't stay mad at each other. They are constantly fighting, but they have good times in between as well. They really love each other but don't have a good realtionship.
